BROUGHT TO YOU BY COHESIVE STUDIO
ISSUE # 39 | APRIL 20TH 2026
Welcome back to Brand ID Weekly.
This week we're looking at Horizonfilms, a video and sound production company based in Graz, Austria. And yes, the name does exactly what it says it will.
Here's what makes this one fun: the wordmark literally stretches across the horizon. Lukas Diemling took the name at face value and let the typography do the heavy lifting — wide, stretched, edge to edge. A custom symbol reinforces the same effect, so the whole system is pulling in one direction.
The color palette is dark and atmospheric. Which, if you think about it, is the right call for a production company. A loud identity would fight the reel. Instead, this identity steps back and creates the stage.
The view from here looks pretty good…

Every headline satisfies an opinion. Except ours.
Remember when the news was about what happened, not how to feel about it? 1440's Daily Digest is bringing that back. Every morning, they sift through 100+ sources to deliver a concise, unbiased briefing — no pundits, no paywalls, no politics. Just the facts, all in five minutes. For free.

Levi's: This week's iconic logo is Levi's.
The batwing. That's what they call it internally, and once you know that you can't unsee it. The red tab on the back pocket came first.
Introduced in 1967, it was one of the earliest examples of a brand turning a functional detail into a trademark. The two-horse patch has been on the product since 1886, a guarantee of strength that outlasted the horses.
The outline of the logo traces directly from the shape of the 501® back pocket, sitting just above the iconic Arcuate stitching. This iconic brandmark perhaps will never get worn out.
